This little car runs so good that I forget it is 36 years old. It has AMSOIL bumper to bumper with Series 2000 0W-30 in the crankcase. Most VW enthusiasts are relunctant to use lighter viscosity motor oils, however since I use this viscosity in all of my other cars I decided to use it in this car as well. I only have 1,500 miles on the oil with no measureable oil consumption yet, so I made the right decision.
