Close up view of the AMSOIL By-Pass Oil Filter mounted at the rear of the inside of the fender of the "Bug." The mounting bolts pass into the engine compartment and use large fender washers (provided in the By-Pass kit) on the engine compartment side to hold securely to the sheet metal from the other side. Note that the By-Pass oil filter is not located directly behind the wheel. The wheel is located toward the outside of the fender while the By-Pass oil filter is located to the inside.
