This is the engine on the engine stand with one cylinder head removed. The head was badly cracked and will have to be
replaced. I will take the other head to someone competent (hopefully) to replace the valves and to inspect it for cracks or
wharpage. The new cylinders and pistons will increase the engine size from 1500 ccs to about 1650 ccs. With the stock single
port heads, cam, and carburetor it should remain the same gas mizerly car it was designed to be, but with a little more
"testosterone" for getting around these East Texas hills. Electronic ignition will improve its reliability as will an
alternator upgrade. AMSOIL will make sure that I probably won't ever have to do this again!
