Once the cap was installed I coated the threads of the drain valve with thread sealant and tightened it up (red arrow). I made sure it was oriented where I could turn that valve after it is installed in the car. The PCV filter installed. I've made sure the opening under the PCV filter (blue arrow) lines up with the other brass fitting (green arrow). Both of these fittings should aim toward the engine if I've done everything correctly.
