In this closer view you'll notice there is an inlet and outlet for the hoses and an extra "T" fitting for a capped off valve to be used in obtaining a motor oil sample for lube analysis. The cap keeps the tube hygienically clean so a quality sample can be obtained for mailing to an oil analysis lab such as Oil Analyzers. It also keeps the motor oil from running out just in case someone accidentally opens the valve.
